Know your People

know your people.png

How much you know your people? Do you really know them or only judging them or its all your perception of knowing them .

Questions you should ask yourself ?

  1. Do you know them as per their Social info ?
  2. Do you know them as per other’s opinion ?
  3. Do you know them as per their work performance ?
  4. Do you know them as per their official/ professional look ?

  OR

5. Do you know them WHAT THEY ACTUALLY ARE ?

Basically we know our people as per the above mentioned 4 Points and we hardly focus on the 5th point as for it we need to work on that person to know him/her and rest 4 Points are easy to Judge anyone.

Every person has dual personality within it . One , which he/she is showing to others as per his/her social , professional & upfront behavior . Second one is what he/she actually is.

Its is difficult to examine the difference between two of them that who is real & who is not and once we know the phenomenon of knowing the difference then we will be able to know exactly about the person.

No one will exactly tell you about how you know your people but yes, you can focus on all 4 points and choose a common behavior out of them to exactly know the 5th point that is what actually is.

All the Best for your Knowing Journey.

Nine Bad Manager Mistakes That Make Good People Quit

bad manager

It’s pretty incredible how often you hear managers complaining about their best employees leaving, and they really do have something to complain about—few things are as costly and disruptive as good people walking out the door.

Managers tend to blame their turnover problems on everything under the sun, while ignoring the crux of the matter: people don’t leave jobs; they leave managers.

The sad thing is that this can easily be avoided. All that’s required is a new perspective and some extra effort on the manager’s part.

Organizations know how important it is to have motivated, engaged employees, but most fail to hold managers accountable for making it happen.

When they don’t, the bottom line suffers.

Research from the University of California found that motivated employees were 31% more productive, had 37% higher sales, and were three times more creative than demotivated employees. They were also 87% less likely to quit, according to a Corporate Leadership Council study on over 50,000 people.

Gallup research shows that a mind-boggling 70% of an employee’s motivation is influenced by his or her manager. So, let’s take a look at some of the worst things that managers do that send good people packing.

They overwork people. Nothing burns good employees out quite like overworking them. It’s so tempting to work your best people hard that managers frequently fall into this trap. Overworking good employees is perplexing; it makes them feel as if they’re being punished for great performance. Overworking employees is also counterproductive. New research from Stanford shows that productivity per hour declines sharply when the workweek exceeds 50 hours, and productivity drops off so much after 55 hours that you don’t get anything out of working more.

If you must increase how much work your talented employees are doing, you’d better increase their status as well. Talented employees will take on a bigger workload, but they won’t stay if their job suffocates them in the process. Raises, promotions, and title-changes are all acceptable ways to increase workload. If you simply increase workload because people are talented, without changing a thing, they will seek another job that gives them what they deserve.

They don’t recognize contributions and reward good work. It’s easy to underestimate the power of a pat on the back, especially with top performers who are intrinsically motivated. Everyone likes kudos, none more so than those who work hard and give their all. Managers need to communicate with their people to find out what makes them feel good (for some, it’s a raise; for others, it’s public recognition) and then to reward them for a job well done. With top performers, this will happen often if you’re doing it right.

They fail to develop people’s skills. When managers are asked about their inattention to employees, they try to excuse themselves, using words such as “trust,” “autonomy,” and “empowerment.” This is complete nonsense. Good managers manage, no matter how talented the employee. They pay attention and are constantly listening and giving feedback.

Management may have a beginning, but it certainly has no end. When you have a talented employee, it’s up to you to keep finding areas in which they can improve to expand their skill set. The most talented employees want feedback—more so than the less talented ones—and it’s your job to keep it coming. If you don’t, your best people will grow bored and complacent.

They don’t care about their employees. More than half of people who leave their jobs do so because of their relationship with their boss. Smart companies make certain their managers know how to balance being professional with being human. These are the bosses who celebrate an employee’s success, empathize with those going through hard times, and challenge people, even when it hurts. Bosses who fail to really care will always have high turnover rates. It’s impossible to work for someone eight-plus hours a day when they aren’t personally involved and don’t care about anything other than your production yield.

They don’t honor their commitments. Making promises to people places you on the fine line that lies between making them very happy and watching them walk out the door. When you uphold a commitment, you grow in the eyes of your employees because you prove yourself to be trustworthy and honorable (two very important qualities in a boss). But when you disregard your commitment, you come across as slimy, uncaring, and disrespectful. After all, if the boss doesn’t honor his or her commitments, why should everyone else?

They hire and promote the wrong people. Good, hard-working employees want to work with like-minded professionals. When managers don’t do the hard work of hiring good people, it’s a major demotivator for those stuck working alongside them. Promoting the wrong people is even worse. When you work your tail off only to get passed over for a promotion that’s given to someone who glad-handed their way to the top, it’s a massive insult. No wonder it makes good people leave.

They don’t let people pursue their passions. Talented employees are passionate. Providing opportunities for them to pursue their passions improves their productivity and job satisfaction. But many managers want people to work within a little box. These managers fear that productivity will decline if they let people expand their focus and pursue their passions. This fear is unfounded. Studies show that people who are able to pursue their passions at work experience flow, a euphoric state of mind that is five times more productive than the norm.

They fail to engage creativity. The most talented employees seek to improve everything they touch. If you take away their ability to change and improve things because you’re only comfortable with the status quo, this makes them hate their jobs. Caging up this innate desire to create not only limits them, it limits you.

They don’t challenge people intellectually. Great bosses challenge their employees to accomplish things that seem inconceivable at first. Instead of setting mundane, incremental goals, they set lofty goals that push people out of their comfort zones. Then, good managers do everything in their power to help them succeed. When talented and intelligent people find themselves doing things that are too easy or boring, they seek other jobs that will challenge their intellects.

Trust yourself

trust-yourself

One day a person told me that do whatever you want in your life and always remember that if it is yes to you then there is no chance of any other’s No.

Start building trust on  yourself and live freely.

Nobody is perfect. You don’t need to be perfect , so relax, say what you really feel, and take your full shot at life. It’s the big picture that matters most, and the long view.

We don’t need to prove our self to anyone , we just need to fulfill our responsibility , take care of others point of view and let our self live freely.

So let yourself try what feels right for you, and don’t worry about making the “wrong” decision. One of the best things I have learned is that the world is a place to explore, and it will embrace you if you embrace it.

How to get rid of negative energy

Negative sign

Get rid of Negative Influences:- We know that we are surrounded by people who have negative thoughts about us and we cannot fight with them .We need to cut out those who are constantly unhappy, uncaring, abusive or neglectful. These people suck out all the positive energy out of you, the positive energy that you need to attract good things into your life.Surround yourself with positive people.

Clean out your Office / Home :- We need to clean all old / stagnant things which can absorb more negative rather positive from our home and ignore those people who have negativity in your office ambiance.

Change your thinking:- It is easy to get involve into negative things as it doesn’t require efforts and positive things are hard to achieve.Cleanse your own negative thoughts. Don’t let the small things bother you. Don’t complain and judge or criticize others. But also love yourself more. Be more forgiving of yourself. No one is perfect so don’t dwell on your mistakes or imperfections. And, finally, don’t play the victim. You create your own life—so take responsibility. Stop blaming others and start taking steps towards making your life better.

Put all of your worries on paper :-Take a pen and paper and write out everything that worries you. Sometimes it may seem like a lot in your head, but once you see it written down you will understand that it’s not that much and you can deal with it.

Also, the point is to take out all the negativity from inside of you and put it on an external object. So don’t think that you have to make this list short, or even make it a list at all. Try writing down all of your negative thoughts. Every single worried thought you’re having. And then just get rid of that paper. Burn it or throw it away.

Meditate :-Meditation increases serotonin production that improves mood and behavior. It decreases anxiety, helps gain clarity and peace of mind. It helps heal your energy system and maintain vibrant energy field.

Work it out :-Finally, when nothing else is working, and you still feel angry or sad, sometimes the best thing you can do is just sweat it out. In fact, many doctors are actually prescribing exercise to battle stress, depression and anxiety. Whatever you choose to do, go for a run, do yoga, lift some weights, swim, go for a long walk, play some tennis – a good workout will help clean out your mind of negative thoughts.

Life is about Experiments

Life is about Experiments

We all no doubt experience our fair share of setbacks and disappointments over the course of a lifetime. At one point things are going well, then all of a sudden an error of judgement, a fatal mistake, or an unexpected event can completely derail our efforts. And what seemed like a perfect day has turned into an absolute nightmare. 🙁

Life gets this way at times. In fact, life surprises us with unexpected twists and turns around every corner.

There is another saying that suggests that when bad things happen that we should turn lemons into lemonade, or in other words we should adapt to the situation and make the most of these circumstances for our own benefit.

These are all of course wonderful ways of looking at life; of looking at failure and setbacks.

Our life is full of adventure , it can be sweet and sour at any moment of time.Experiment to love more , to enjoy more , accept more worst things , experiment to do things what others cant do. Start loving your efforts , stay with things to know , don’t judge anyone.

Life is just to Live it not to leave it.

Vegan

VEGAN

What Is?

Veganism is a type of vegetarian diet that excludes meat , eggs, dairy products and all other animal-derived ingredients. Many vegans also do not eat foods that are processed using animal products, such as refined white sugar and some wines.

Vegan refers to either a person who follows this way of eating or to the diet itself.

Why you want to become?

Because you want to realize yourself that killing animal is wrong as they are also like us and their lives are also precious to someone.

Do you know you are killing plants too ?

Why we think that only animals are living being why not plants too. We are cutting plants for our purpose to create many things like papers, wooden products and many more. My concern is ,not to destroy Nature and even not think to play with it. Everything comes under Ecosystem and God made us to eat and being eaten by someone. Plants were born to be eaten by Animals and Animals were born to be eaten by either Big animals or by Human being and human being were born to be eaten by animals after death.

There is nothing permanent ,one need to die one day but killing all animals is not good as God made us Human to eat anything for our best survival and we are misusing our power of dominance and killing animals for our food.We need to think first that why we slaughter animals when we can eat plants too. Is it only about the taste?

Being Vegan is not the topic of right & wrong of killing animal , it is about to think why we go for it.Once we understand the reason of being Vegan then only we can persuade it.

Think and share your comment  with us.
